Michael Rozen is co-founder and managing partner of RCTS. He is a long-time veteran of the personal care products and clinical trials industry, with over 30 years of experience. Michael’s professional training is specifically in product safety and, accordingly, he is responsible for having established all the clinical safety testing programs currently in practice at RCTS. He is also responsible for the QA/QC programs currently in use at RCTS and has been the investigator on numerous clinical trials conducted at RCTS. Michael also leads RCTS’ business development, sales and marketing programs and is responsible for the preparation of RCTS’ clinical trial budgets.
Michael has held key scientific positions at Unilever, Colgate-Palmolive and Mary Kay Cosmetics. He is the former scientific director at Essex Testing Clinic and has worked with numerous U.S., European and Asian cosmetic, pharmaceutical and consumer product companies to substantiate product safety and marketing claims. A certified toxicologist by the American Board of Toxicology, Michael is a former member of the safety committees of the Soaps and Detergents Association (SDA) and Cosmetics, Toiletries and Fragrances Association (CTFA) as well as a former chairperson of the CTFA’s Animal Welfare Task Force.
Michael earned his bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Albany and his master’s and doctoral degrees from New York University in biochemistry and environmental toxicology, respectively.
